Foreign nationals residing in India must submit valid permit to return to India Proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses while in Portugal: Bank Statements for the last 3 months; Income Tax Returns for the last 3 years; Copy of Pan Card; Salary Slips (if working); Sponsorship Letter from host (“Termo de Responsabilidade”) undertaking responsibilities for the boarding, lodging and repatriation, if required.  Proof of occupation Covering letter explaining the purpose of the visit with complete and full address and contacts of host/relative/hotel in Portugal For FAMILY VISIT the applicant must submit: Original Sponsorship Letter (“Termo de Responsabilidade”) from the relative/ friend in Portugal undertaking responsibilities for the boarding, lodging and repatriation (the letter is valid for 01 month only)  Proof of relationship with sponsor along with his/her financial means - Photocopies of his/her valid Passport/Identity Card (“Bilhete de Identidade”)/Residence Permit (“Autorização de Residência”) Police Clearance Certificate attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile sticker. Medical Examination Certificate attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile sticker. Birth Certificate & Marriage Certificate attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi with an Apostile sticker. Valid Declaration/Work Contract of the sponsor. Salary Slips for the last three (03) months of the sponsor. IRS (Income Tax Return) for the last three (03) years of the sponsor. Bank Account statement for the last (06) months of the sponsor.
